October News

We are off to a great start this year. The students a doing well getting in to the Kindergarten routine. Thank you for practicing the Take Home books and sending them back to school. The Fall bag collections are looking great also. We will start to share them today. In the folders you will find that we are attaching alphabet cards. These can be used to review and practice identifying the letters. This week in Reading we introduced the first sound /n/ and will be sending home the 3rd Take Home book. Here are some dates to remember for October:
October 1st Picture Day
Book Order is Due
October 7 Walk to School Day
We will be walking to the High School Track. Wear your sneakers!
October 22 Open House 6:00-7:00
October 26-30 Red Ribbon Week More information will come home about that week.
October 28 Apple Crunch Day We will taste a variety of apples.
October 30 Halloween party at school.

Thinking ahead, conference day is November 13th. If you are unable to meet that day and would like a conference. I can meet anytime before or after school during that week or the following week. Let me know if you need a different day.
Have a great October!
