Spelling and Vocabulary

Yesterday I sent home the first spelling list of the year home.  The test will not be till September 7th.  Please study the words and sign your name on the spelling contract.  Return the spelling contract on Friday September 7.  This is considered a homework assignment.
We will also have weekly vocabulary words to study that go with our reading story of the week.  Please study these words for the reading test on Sept. 7th also.  Thank you!

Art Shirts and Extra Clothes

Please send an Art shirt in a bag with your childs' name on the shirt and bag.  We will  keep it in our room all year.
Please send in an extra set of clothing in a bag with their name on the bag.  This will also be kept in our room in case of accidents.

The Great Mail Race

Class 114 will be doing a project as part of Social Studies called "The Great Mail Race".  I need a few parents to help.  We need an Elementary school address from each state.  We may also need some help with addressing envelopes.  If you are willing to help in some way please email me at school and I will get back to you with the information.  If you are willing to donate stamps for the project please send them with your child to school.  It will be very appreciated!  Thank you!
