Red Ribbon Week, Apple Crunch, and Halloween

This week was a very busy week in K105. The students have been given something special everyday when they came in to the building for Red Ribbon Week. Pencils, posters, stickers, K105 even won a prize for the primary correct answer to a drug question this week. The Red Ribbon fairy has visited 1 person each day leaving red fairy dust and a special gift at their seat. The students have been very excited when entering the room each morning. We have also had fitness breaks each day. On Tuesday the whole school participated in seven exercise stations around the school that were very fun and enjoyable! Today we had some crazy hair! Watch for the pictures to be posted!
On Wednesday K105 made applesauce for Apple Crunch Day and enjoyed it for a snack later in the day. We also did other Apple activities leading up to that day like tasteing different kinds of apples, graphing our favorite apple, sensing apples, and painting with apples. We also discussed how an apple and apple tree grows. Friday we will be trying apples with different dips for a treat. Thank you to all who donated the apples for our projects!
This week we did several Halloween art activities like painting, chalk drawings, making a jack-o-lanterns, and carving pumpkins. What a very busy week and still one more day! Friday don't forget to team up against drugs by wearing your favorite team jersey!

HALLOWEEN

So sorry for the late information! I had to leave school yesterday morning because my daughter was ill and realized this PM a letter never went home with K105 about Halloween. We are having a party in the afternoon. The students may bring a costume to change in to at school. We will help them if they need any help. I will be providing a snack and our student teacher will bring a drink for the party. If you want to send a healthy snack we have 15 students. Please do not feel that you need to send a treat. I apologize again for this late notice and know that some parents will not receive this information.
